We started on Sunday Nov 6th with a very enjoyable performance by Toots Thielemans, the Belgian jazz/harmonica player, who was here to close the 23rd annual San Francisco Jazz Festival.
Last night Tue Nov 8th we enjoyed U2 at the Oakland Arena. Caroline had already been to their 2 concerts in San Jose last April; Stephen had been to one. It was still a huge thrill! On the way back from that concert we had an inpromptu party on the Bay Bridge – see ‘Photo of the Moment’ of Nov 8th.
And we’re both going to U2 again tonight, Wed Nov 9th!!
This Saturday we have tickets for Cirque Du Soleil’s ‘Corteo’.
And last but not least we are going to the Rolling Stones at SBC Park on Sunday – their support act is rather impressive: Metallica.
Party on the bridge??? Hope somebody brought the cooler with the beers!!! Given the crowd was in good spirits even in heavy trafic, I assume the U2 concert must have been excellent! Enjoy your busy concert agenda! Gina
