Mendocino Weekend May 5-7

We left on Friday afternoon from Stephen’s work around 5pm and set off on the 101 towards Healdsburg where we stopped for dinner.

After dinner we followed the 128 towards Mendocino. As it was dark by then we didn’t really get to enjoy driving through the Redwood trees although the drive did have something eerie.

Arrived at our accommodation around 9:40pm.

We stayed in the luxury suites of MacCallum House, which are located a short walk from the center of the village.

On Saturday we enjoyed breakfast on the porch of the main house of the hotel and then went for a stroll to the headlands. We had lunch at the Bay View Cafe and chilled (walking around the village, reading) for the rest of the day. Dinner was enjoyed at Cafe Beaujolais.

Sunday morning breakfast at the main house again and after checking out we went to take a look at the Lighthouse.

We then started the drive back to San Francisco along Highway 1.
