We went to Shasta for the weekend; left on Friday afternoon and returned on Sunday afternoon. Guess who did all the driving!!
Saturday morning I dropped Stephen of at the trailhead, where he set off for a day-hike (good training for Mt McKinley). Meanwhile I went cruising around in Minike, strolled around Shasta town, had coffee and enjoyed a good book – the weather was gorgeous.
Around 3.30pm I picked Stephen up at the trailhead; and we spent the rest of the afternoon/evening strolling around and relaxing.
We set off reasonably early on Sunday; stopped in Redding to see the Sundial Bridge and made it back home to SF around 4.30pm.
A weekend well spent!
Gorgeous photos!! Saw it in summer with very little snow, but it still seems equally magnificent!
