Land Rover 4WD Event

We’ve had Sterlin, our Discovery, since January 8th, 2003. We’ve done roughly some 47,000 miles in him – so far. Not too bad. We’ve taken him on the Dalton Hwy all the way to Prudhoe Bay (Arctic Ocean) in Alaska and we went off-roading in Utah’s Canyonlands National Park (photos).

So when our friends Tory & Adrian – who recently bought an LR3 at the same garage we bought our car – told us about this 4WD event organized by the garage we jumped at the opportunity to take Sterlin on his 3rd real 4WD adventure.

The 4WD Event was organized by Gordon of British Motor Cars (BMC) on Van Ness, San Francisco and took place on a private ranch in Bodega Bay.

The idea was for Land Rover owners to get to know their vehicle and its capabilities better and to have fun driving them on specially prepared trails. Breakfast and lunch was excellently catered for.

It was great fun and yes, we did learn a lot about what our car can handle – specially about the angles it can do!!!! Being guided through the obstacles by experts gave us the confidence and assurance that the car could handle it.
