My friend Geert, from Gent – Belgium, came to visit for 3 weeks.
I took him on 2 roadtrips and in between he spent time in San Francisco.
Our first roadtrip took us from Pasadena (LA), via bits of Route 66 to Lake Havasu City in Arizona. From there we drove to Flagstaff, AZ and on to Monument Valley just on the border with Utah. We returned back through Flagstaff and then went to Lone Pine, CA and finally via the Tioga Pass Road to Yosemite and on to San Francisco.

On our second trip we did: Mendocino, a bit of the Coastal Hwy 1, ‘Avenue of the Giants’ to experience the grandeur of the Redwoods, Crater Lake, Seattle.
