Yellowknife and the Journey Home

Saturday, September 1, 2012

Because of the way the flights worked out for us, we first few to Kugluktuk Airport and onto Yellowknife where we spent the night. And turned out to be a pleasant little stay.

We have to return one day in winter is see the northern lights. But for now, this journey comes to an end and we head back to San Francisco.

The Airport at Kugluktuk.
Flying over the vast landscape of the Northwest Territories.
Arrived, obviously.
Very nice walk around the lake.
Some art along the route.
We even visited the Parliament for the Northwest Territories. They weren’t doing tours, but they did one for us.
Final drinks in the most famous local eat shack. The place is Bullocks Bistro.
Look what we found, our next adventure – to the White Sea.
