Sunday, October 11th
Breakfast was somewhere between 8:30am and 9am; together with 4 other guests staying at ‘Rest for the Tired’.
I went for a morning stroll around lovely, quaint Hay-on-Wye. The small town is the National Book Town of Wales; not difficult to believe when walking around: there are bookstores everywhere. My B&B is above a bookstore. Back to my room to relax and do some re-packing, now that all my stuff was laundered clean again. Also did some shopping for lunch tomorrow as this B&B did not provide packed lunches. Instead of buying some boring sandwiches in the local SPAR, I bought some freshly made ones in the ‘Old Electrical Shop’.
Stephen had finally made it home, after almost 2 weeks in Toronto for work and a delayed and consequently missed connection home, and we managed a skype call. Also skyped with mum.
And around 6:30pm my friend Luc arrived to join me for the last 3 days of walking The Path. We would start by tackling the Black Mountains the next day.
Book Art.
Sat down for a small cafetière of coffee; it was no latte but I couldn’t resist the setting: ‘the Old Electrical Shop’
