A month after meeting Michelle and Lance on Green Ridge to view the solar eclipse, we flew back to EarthCruiser in Bend to look at and discuss all the ins, outs and aspects of an EC; to compare the different models (we were lucky that there was one of each at the factory at the time; we already had a clear favorite but seeing all options never hurts) and to reserve the build slot for ours. Those hours with Michelle were hours well-spent, and confirmed that our favorite, the FX, was the right vehicle for us. Now, all EC’s built at EarthCruiser USA get a sequence number, no matter what model (EXP, FX or GZL). So, when Michelle took us out to lunch and I asked what number ours would be, she answered: ‘yours will be number 42’.

Michelle wasn’t too sure what was happening when we started getting extremely excited…

It was obvious: Meaning Of Life…….. M O L…….. MOLLY.
Molly. She’d be ‘our’ Molly. And there is was: MOLLY 42
