Mushamna and Monaco Glacier

Thursday, August 9th, 2018

Up early and greeted with low cloud. It actually felt like we were in the high arctic. Stephen went on the long hike while Caroline opted of the short hike. It was. Nice to be walking in the slightly colder day with the fog on the hills. Both hikes ended at the a very well-maintained trapper’s hut built in the 80s. The hut was all locked up, so an inside visit was not possible. This particular featured a separate sauna area.

In the afternoon we checked out Monaco glacier from the 12th deck of The World., Very active glacier and we were able to see some very nice carvings during our 1 hour stay.
