Tuttletown

Weekend, June 7 to 9, 2019

The escape from the Bay Area was the usual traffic jam, but this was little worse than usual. But we made it to Tuttletown Recreation Area before the sun went down.

We lit a fire a had a very relaxing evening. The next morning was spent installing the antenna for the satellite phone. The job was made more complicated by not having the correct bolts. Still managed to get the job done, and the antenna works a treat. The new privacy handset is also a great addition. In the afternoon we went for a nice walk, albeit in the heat of the day. The afternoon spent relaxing and a few other little jobs.

We had run out of firewood, but managed to scrap up some surrounding the campsite. And enjoyed another evening around the fire.

This campground is a good find, and we are likely to return,

New Antenna
Test call with new antenna. All good.

A few days later, a rash broke out on Stephen’s legs. I guess there was some poison oak around.
