Gualala Get-Away

Weekend, February 28 to March 1, 2020

A relaxing weekend get away to one of our favourite Northern California camping spots. The last time we were here, we had to evacuate due to local forest fires. This time we just relaxed and spent a few hours installing bits and bobs on Molly.

Soldering the wires from the amplifier to the speaker cable.
Encouraging the heat-shrink to shrink when you forgot to bring your heat gun.
Installing the new speaker cable.
The new backsplash installed. Just a simple vinyl wrap.
A mounting bracket prepared at home to mount the HAM Radio under the seat.
A little epoxy to secure it. Later will add a bolt as well.
The HAM Radio is located under the dinette seat in the electrical cabinet. It is getting crowded in the cabinet, so creative measures are needed. Not sure where we will mount the microphone and head unit yet.
