Anza Borrego Desert, CA

Anza Borrego Desert State Park has been on the bucket list for at least 5 years. And we finally made it here. It did not disappoint.

We started by making some new friends, Gina and Dale. They are fellow Earthcruiser owners and welcomed us into their home. We spent the night trading stories and comparing notes. The next morning we headed into the desert for some dispersed camping in Little Blair Valley. A beautiful place that allowed us to explore some of the local hot spots.

After an overnight trip into San Diego to catch-up with friends, we returned to Borrego Springs, hiked ‘the slot’ and dispersed camped two nights in Indian Gorge. Walking in the early mornings and late afternoons to avoid the heat of the day.

Not sure when we will be back, but a return visit seems very likely.
