Annapurna Circuit Trek

1 Back in Pokhara in my favorite spot on the baclcony of the 3Sisters/Chhetri Guesthouse after 1.5 years. www.3sistersadventure.com	2 Packing and re-packing for the start of the Annapurna Circuit Trek (ACT). I rented a backpack and stored my 2 duffels at the guesthouse.	3 ACT Day 1. Besisahar to Nadi. To cross or not to cross..	4 ACT Day 2. Nadi to Jagat.	5 ACT Day 2. Nadi to Jagat. Lots of swing bridges.	6 ACT Day 2. Nadi to Jagat.
7 ACT Day 3. Jagat to Tal. Preferred means of transport of supplies.	8 ACT Day 3. Jagat to Tal. Blasting for the new road - which will change the trekking landscape of the Circuit forever.	9 ACT Day 3. Jagat to Tal. Approaching Tal.	10 ACT Day 4. In Italy these would be motorcycles.	11 ACT Day 4. Tal to Chame.	12 ACT Day 4. Tal to Chame.

I had a rest/acclimatization day in Manang on which I went for a 'day stroll' to 'Ice Lake', a mere 1120mts/3700ft higher than Manang.	22 ACT Day 7. Walking back from Ice Lake.	23 ACT Day 8. At Thorung High Camp - 4900mts/16080ft.	30 ACT Day 10. My big day: hiking towards the High Pass. It's about 500mts/1640ft from High Camp to the Pass.
31 ACT Day 10. 6.45am. On my way to the Thorung-la Pass.	32 ACT Day 10. 7am. The trail to the Pass.	33 ACT Day 10. 7.29am. The trail to the Pass.	34 ACT Day 10. 8.48am. Made it! The Pass is at 5413mts/17760ft.	35 ACT Day 10. Truly the 'high point' of my Annapurna Circuit Trek!	36 ACT Day 10. Best deserved (and most expensive) cup of hot chocolate ever, but so worth it!
37 ACT Day 10. All that rested us for the day was to descend 1700mts/5577ft to Muktinath!	38 ACT Day 10. Thorung-La to Muktinath.	39 ACT Day 10. 12.46pm. Thorung-La to Muktinath.	40 ACT Day 11. Muktinath to Jomsom. Passing through Jharkot.	41 ACT Day 11. Muktinath to Jomsom.	42 ACT Day 11. Muktinath to Jomsom. I visited Kagbeni around lunchtime.
43 ACT Day 11. Kagbeni, on the border with Mustang. Yes, it was very windy!	44 ACT Day 11. Kagbeni to Jomsom.	45 ACT Day 11. Entering Jomsom; still very windy, the buff is against the dust.	46 ACT Day 12. Leaving Jomsom. It was very hazy for days; we just caught a glimpse of the mountains that morning.	47 ACT Day 12. Entering Kalopani.	53 ACT Day 13. Kalopani to Tatopani. The rain overnight finally cleared the skies of the haze.	54 ACT Day 13. Kalopani to Tatopani.
55 ACT Day 14. Possibly the 3rd hardest day of the ACT: after going down for 4 days, it was up 1745mts/5730ft from Tatopani to Ghorepani.	56 ACT Day 14. Tatopani to Ghorepani.	57 ACT Day 15. And then all the way back down again from Ghorepani to Nayapul - 1880mts/6170ft - which made for the 2nd hardest day on the ACT.	58 ACT Day 14. Ghorepani to Nayapul.	59 ACT Day 15.	60 ACT Day 15. 4:28pm. Arrived at Nayapul. From there it was a 1hour taxi ride back to Pokhara.
