Number 42

Molly is build number 42 from the Bend Oregon Earthcruiser factory. We are delighted to have the 42nd build, as 42 is a very special number in the SciFi community.

42 is the “Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything”

The mice were trying to find the question to the ultimate answer and settled on, “How many roads must a man walk down?” with the answer being 42. The appropriate question for Molly might be, “How many roads must a truck drive down?”

The border between Oregon (birthplace) and California (first home) is on the 42nd parallel.

“Tough & Together” is 14 characters in 3 groups, and 42 is 3 x 14.

42 can also be thought of as “for two”. As in, Molly is for (4) two (2).

42 is the atomic number of molybdenum.

Anagram of “Meaning of Life” is “Offline Enigma”. Molly is definitively an Offline Enigma.

42 has some special mathematical properties. The sum of its three cubes took over a million hours of computer time to solve, and was the last number in the range of 1 to 100 to be solved.

Messier object M42, a diffuse nebula in the constellation Orion, which happens to be in our favourite Northern Hemisphere star constellation.
